2025 Hero HF100 Bike Launch: Updated OBD2B Engine with 70kmpl Mileage, Priced at ₹60,118

Hero MotoCorp has updated the engines of its vehicles to comply with the OBD2B standards. The company launched the updated ‘HF100’ model in the Indian market on April 28. This commuter bike now features an OBD2B engine, delivering a mileage of 70kmpl.

OBD2B refers to the Phase 2 On-Board Diagnostics standard for two-wheelers. It is a system that monitors engine and emission parameters in real-time, providing more accurate data and warnings for potential issues compared to the older OBD-1 systems. The system uses sensors, DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), and the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) network to detect and warn about issues such as improper fuel, abnormal emissions, and other potential faults.

Aside from this, there have been no changes to the bike’s design, hardware, or features. The ex-showroom price is ₹60,118, which is ₹1,100 higher than the previous model. In the Indian market, it will compete with bikes such as the ‘Bajaj Platina 100’, ‘TVS Sport’, and ‘Honda Shine 100’.

Hero has already updated the engines of models like the ‘Splendor Plus’, ‘Passion Plus’, ‘Glamour’, ‘Super Splendor XTEC’, ‘Xtreme 160R 2V’, and ‘Xtreme 160R 4V’ to meet OBD2B standards.
