New Delhi: In a world where financial missteps often come with devastating consequences, Kundan Prajapati’s journey stands out — not as a tale of overnight success, but as a raw, real narrative of failure, grief, and grit that transformed into a mission for change.
Hailing from a small village in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, Kundan was a quiet child, made more reserved by a stammer caused by a childhood injury. Despite his silence, he grew up with a sharp mind and a hunger to learn. His father, a man of vision, encouraged him early on with books like Business School and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People — laying the foundation for Kundan’s entrepreneurial mindset.
But the road ahead was anything but smooth. After failing Class 12, he bounced back the following year with 88% and earned admission into Delhi University. At 19, he made his first big leap — opening a restaurant to support his family, funding it by mortgaging his mother’s jewellery. The venture collapsed, leaving him financially and emotionally shattered.
The breaking point came in 2017 when he lost ₹25,000 — money he had borrowed — in just two weeks while trying to explore unverified financial advice. The experience left him devastated. He took multiple expensive courses to learn more, only to discover that most of them offered little real value. The lack of structured, ethical, and accessible financial education became painfully clear.
Then came the most profound personal blow — the sudden loss of his father in 2020 due to cardiac arrest. The grief was immense, compounded by the isolation of the pandemic and financial pressure. But instead of surrendering, Kundan channelled his pain into purpose. He committed to deep learning, understanding risk, discipline, and long-term financial planning through books, real-world case studies, and mentorship.
A turning point arrived in 2022 during a trip to Kashmir with his mother. After two years of emotional darkness, her smile sparked a new mission in him — to help others avoid the pitfalls he had fallen into and to carry forward the dreams his father had for their family.
Today, Kundan is a known name among financial learning circles. He has been invited to share his insights by respected platforms such as Samco Securities, Paytm Money, StockMock, and Bharat Option Traders Summit. Yet, he remains grounded in his core mission: to promote responsible financial education and protect people from misinformation.
In pursuit of that mission, Kundan launched a completely free, 20-hour financial education program through his initiative, The Trading Scholar. (Free Stock Market Courses) The program covers everything from market basics and price action to capital protection and risk management — all without charging a single rupee, and without promoting any services or platforms.
Over 500 learners have already enrolled, and Kundan’s goal is ambitious — to make 1 lakh Indians financially literate each year, with no fluff, no false promises, and no hidden agendas.
Kundan Prajapati isn’t just telling a story. He’s starting a movement — one rooted in transparency, empowerment, and the belief that education is the first step toward financial freedom.
