Bajaj Chetak 3503 Launched: Most Affordable Model in the 35 Series

Two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto recently launched the Chetak 3503, the most affordable variant in its popular Chetak 35 electric scooter series, on April 28. The ex-showroom price is set at ₹1.10 lakh.

Although the next-generation Chetak models were introduced in December 2024 with cosmetic and mechanical upgrades, the price of the 3503 variant had not been revealed until now. The other two models in the series are the Chetak 3501 and Chetak 3502.

Technical Highlights

• Battery Pack: 3.5 kWh (largest in the Chetak range so far)

• Claimed Range: Up to 153 km (IDC-certified); Real-world range: 120–125 km

• Top Speed: 63 km/h

• Charging Time (0–80%): 3.25 hours with a 950W onboard charger

• Under-Seat Storage: 35 liters

• Warranty: 3 years or 50,000 km

Design and Comfort

Though it retains the retro look of previous models, the 3503 features several technical improvements:

• A newly designed chassis with a battery pack placed beneath the floorboard.

• A longer seat (80mm longer than previous versions) for improved rider comfort.

• A wider floorboard and an extended wheelbase of 1,350mm (25mm longer).

The front fascia includes a horseshoe-shaped LED DRL and chrome accents, enhancing its retro-modern aesthetic.

Display and Features

• The 3503 is equipped with a color LCD display and basic Bluetooth connectivity.

• It features drum brakes on both wheels, unlike the disc brakes in the higher variants.
