Aligarh’s senior litterateur and poet lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi, who was honoured with Sahitya Shiromani Shabd-Samman, was awarded Rajasthan’s most prestigious national award “Chandbardai Geet Rishi Rajasthan Samman” in the memory of Hindi’s first great poet Chandbardai for his continuous contribution in the field of education and literature. For this, an award ceremony was organized in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, the land of work of great poet Chandbardai. In the program, this award was to be given to Dr. Rahi by the hands of Rajasthan Government’s Deputy Chief Minister Hon’ble Premchand Bairwa, but due to the Ahmedabad plane crash tragedy, instead of the Deputy CM, ICCC Indo Canada President Mr. Kailash Gupta participated as the Deputy CM’s representative and conducted the program.
First of all, he expressed deep grief over the Ahmedabad plane crash and made everyone observe two minutes of silence. After that, Aligarh’s lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi was honored with the title of “Chandbardai Geet Rishi” by presenting him with a memento, a certificate and a shawl.
On this occasion, the chief guest said that literature is an integral part of society. A healthy society cannot be imagined without literature. In such a situation, lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi, a strong signature of the pen in the field of education and literature, is playing his role very well. Undoubtedly, the literature of the well-known people’s poet lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi contains various types of fragrance in the garden of emotions, which is becoming more fragrant with the voices of playback singers like Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Anuradha Paudwal, Anup Jalota.
On one hand, lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi paid tribute in words to the people who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash, and on the other hand, after receiving the award with moist eyes, he said that I am well aware that my responsibility towards literature and society has increased more than ever before.
Various art and literature lovers from all over India including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan participated in the program organized under the banner of Caz Brain Private Limited Mumbai Maharashtra.
It is worth mentioning that lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi, who is a lecturer in Hiralal Barhasaini Inter College, Aligarh, was recently honored with the national award “Bharat Vibhushan” by the Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly in Delhi Legislative Assembly, while the Governor of Himachal Pradesh honored him with the national award “Rashtriya Gaurav Sahitya Shri”.
