Realme GT7 5G Gaming Smartphone Launched: World’s First Phone with MediaTek Dimensity 9400+; Priced at ₹35,400
Chinese tech company Realme has unveiled a new powerful gaming smartphone, the Realme GT 7. The company claims that it is the world’s first phone equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor.
The new 5G phone was first launched in China and will soon be available in other markets, including India. Realme has disclosed the specifications and features of the Realme GT 7.
The phone will be available in three color options: Graphene Ice (Blue), Graphene Snow (White), and Graphene Night (Black). In China, it is priced at approximately 3000 CNY (around ₹35,400).
Realme GT 7 Specifications
Display:
The Realme GT 7 5G features a 6.8-inch 1.5K screen. It uses a BOE Q10 display with a flat OLED panel that operates at a 144 Hz refresh rate. The top brightness reaches 6500 nits. Additionally, the phone includes a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Camera:
For photography, the phone is equipped with a Hyper Image Plus dual rear camera setup. While the sensor details have not been officially disclosed, media reports suggest that the rear panel includes a 50 MP Sony IMX896 main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone also features a 16 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Processor and OS:
The Realme GT 7 is claimed to be the world’s first smartphone featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. This octa-core processor is built on a 3nm fabrication process and can run at clock speeds of up to 3.73 GHz. The phone runs on the latest Android OS, based on Realme UI.
Gaming:
The Realme GT 7 is designed with an advanced thermal system, utilizing ‘Graphene Fiberglass Fusion’ technology for the back panel. This allows the device to dissipate heat six times more efficiently and rapidly compared to regular glass-panel phones. The phone is also equipped with a 7700mm vapor cooling chamber to enhance gaming performance. It features LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technology.
Other Features:
The phone is rated with an IP69 certification, making it resistant to water and dust. In addition to standard connectivity options, it supports 360-degree NFC. It also includes an IR blaster, allowing it to function as a TV remote. Dual stereo speakers are also provided for superior sound quality.
