Saif Ali Khan Attack Case: Kareena Kapoor Recounts Terrifying Night to Police — Saif Was Reluctant to Let Attacker Go

On January 16, shocking news emerged that Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan had been attacked with a knife inside his Bandra residence. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The police quickly registered a case and launched an investigation. A few days later, the accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam, was arrested by Thane police in connection with a robbery. Recently, the police submitted a detailed charge sheet of over 1,613 pages in Bandra Court.

Nanny Ran Out Screaming from Jeh’s Room

The charge sheet includes significant revelations, including a statement from Saif’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, who recounted the harrowing events of that night. According to Kareena, “On the day of the incident, I returned home around 1:20 a.m. after meeting my friend Rhea Kapoor. Around 2:00 a.m., Jeh’s nanny came out of the room screaming. She said a man had entered the room with a knife and was demanding money. Hearing this, Saif and I rushed to Jeh’s room and saw the intruder.”

Saif Attempted to Confront the Attacker

Kareena continued, “Saif asked the man who he was and what he wanted. A scuffle quickly broke out between them. Saif tried to restrain him, but the attacker slashed Saif’s neck, back, and arm. Another nanny, Geeta, came to help but was also injured in the attack, sustaining a wound to her hand.”

I Ran to the 12th Floor with the Children: Kareena Kapoor

“When the attacker injured Saif, I screamed, ‘Get Jeh out quickly!’ I immediately ran with Jeh, Taimur, and nanny Alimma to a room on the 12th floor,” Kareena said. “A short while later, Saif joined us. His clothes were soaked in blood, and he had deep wounds on his back and neck. Everyone was terrified by what we saw.”

Saif Refused to Let the Attacker Escape

Kareena further stated, “Saif was determined to find the attacker. Soon, our staff — Hari, Ramu, Ramesh, and Paswan — joined in to help. We searched the premises, but the attacker was nowhere to be found. At that point, I insisted we leave everything and focus on getting Saif to the hospital.”

The family used the lift to reach the ground floor. Hari took Saif to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw, accompanied by Taimur. Kareena later contacted her sister, Karisma Kapoor, and her manager, Poonam Damania, for help. Poonam’s husband, Tejas Damania, informed the police, who arrived shortly thereafter and searched the premises. However, the attacker had already fled and could not be located.
