Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dazzled at the Cannes Film Festival with an outfit that combined fashion with spirituality. She wore a striking black gown designed by Gaurav Gupta, accompanied by a flowing white Banarasi cape. The cape was adorned with an embroidered shloka from the Bhagavad Gita:

“Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana, Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te Sangostvakarmani.”

This translates to, “You have the right to perform your actions, but not to the fruits of those actions.”

As Aishwarya posed with Helen Mirren and other celebrities on the red carpet, an unexpected moment occurred when Helen accidentally stepped on her cape. Despite the mishap, Aishwarya handled the situation with utmost poise, continuing to charm her audience with her elegance and professionalism.

The outfit was a testament to Aishwarya’s ability to blend Indian heritage with high fashion, marking her 22nd appearance at Cannes as a celebration of style and cultural pride.
