Amit Shah Visits Jagannath Temple and Offers Prayers During Gujarat Visit
Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated the Uttarayan festival in Ahmedabad, continuing his tradition of celebrating the event in the city. During his three-day visit to Gujarat, Shah participated in a kite-flying session with BJP workers and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at Shantiniketan Apartments in Memnagar. Shah flew kites while his wife, Sonal Shah, held the spinning reel. The fun-filled moment included Amit Shah cutting two kites, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Prior to the kite-flying event, the local community and children warmly welcomed Amit Shah and the Chief Minister. Shah took the opportunity to greet everyone and wish them well for the festival. Following the kite-flying session, Amit Shah and the Chief Minister attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the state’s largest police line in Ghatlodia. The new facility will feature 18 towers with 13 floors and a two-story basement for vehicle parking.
Later, Amit Shah visited the Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad, where he participated in aarti and offered prayers to the cow. He also interacted with other devotees at the temple.
In light of Amit Shah’s visit, the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner announced a “No Drone Fly Zone” for security reasons, prohibiting the use of drones, quadcopters, and other aerial devices during his visit. Violators will face legal consequences.
Amit Shah’s visit to Gujarat will continue with events in Kalol and Manasa on January 15, and the inauguration of the “Prerna Sankul” in Vadnagar on January 16, at the school where Prime Minister Narendra Modi studied.
