Cold Wave Hits Gohilwad: Temperature Drops to 13.7°C, Icy Winds Sweep the Region
The winter chill has tightened its grip on Gohilwad district as temperatures plummeted to 13.7 degrees Celsius overnight, marking the coldest point in the past week. The icy winds, clocked at 14 kilometers per hour, combined with 69% humidity, have added to the piercing cold.
According to the Meteorological Department, the region witnessed a two-degree dip in temperatures compared to the previous day. While the maximum temperature dropped to 28.7 degrees Celsius, the minimum recorded was 15.6 degrees Celsius. Residents, feeling the brunt of the cold wave, have taken to bundling up in warm attire before venturing outdoors.
The cold spell has particularly impacted coastal and hilly areas across the state. The chill has been evident since early morning, with biting winds persisting throughout the day. The Meteorological Department predicts that the cold conditions are likely to continue for the next few days, urging residents to prepare for ongoing chilly weather.
