Premium motorcycle brand Ducati India has launched the updated model of its super sports bike the Panigale V4 in India. The company has introduced the bike in two variants V4 and V4 S. The V4 is priced at 29.99 lakh while the V4 S costs 36.50 lakh ex showroom Delhi.
Powerful Engine More Potent Than Scorpio N
One of the biggest highlights of the Ducati Panigale V4 is its upgraded 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine which delivers significantly more power than the Mahindra Scorpio N. The Scorpio N which starts at 16.53 lakh ex showroom has a much lower power output than this superbike.
The Ducati Panigale V4 competes in India with the BMW S 1000 RR Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10 R and Aprilia RSV4.
New Design and Improved Aerodynamics
Ducati has made significant design updates to the Panigale V4 enhancing its aerodynamics and visual appeal. The front fascia has been redesigned replacing the signature triangular projector headlamps with sleeker LED headlights. The fairings and winglets have been reworked to improve airflow and cooling efficiency.
Unlike the previous carbon fiber winglets the new winglets are body colored and centrally positioned for better stability. Ducati has also replaced the single sided swingarm with a double sided swingarm claiming it enhances straight line stability and handling.
Performance 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 Engine
The updated 1103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine has been re tuned to deliver enhanced performance. It now produces
216 horsepower at 13500 rpm
120.9 Newton meter torque at 11250 rpm
The engine now generates 0.5 horsepower more than before though torque has decreased by 2.7 Newton meter. Additionally the engine is now 1 kilogram lighter than the previous version.
For transmission the bike comes with a six speed gearbox featuring a bi directional quickshifter slip and assist clutch and optimized gear ratios.
