Fountainhead School Students Defy Instructions, Arrive in Luxury Cars
Police Detain 12 Luxury Cars as Students Ignore School’s Farewell Guidelines
Drama Under the Guise of Farewell at Fountainhead School: Students Disregard Instructions and Arrive in Luxury Cars
Olpad, Surat: In a shocking incident at Fountainhead School in Kunkani village, 12th-grade students made a grand entrance at their farewell event by arriving in a convoy of 30 luxury cars, despite clear instructions from the school to use buses.
On February 7th, just a week before the upcoming CBSE board exams, students ignored the school’s email to parents urging them to send children via school buses. Instead, they turned up in luxury cars, some even leaning out of sunroofs and capturing the moment with drones. The students were seen flaunting their arrival, causing a stir at the school.
As the news broke, local authorities, including the police, took immediate action, detaining 12 of the luxury cars. The remaining 9 vehicles, which had left the city, are expected to be detained by the end of the day.
To avoid affecting students’ mental states before the board exams, the authorities chose not to take any stringent actions against the students for now. However, the school management condemned the behavior, stating that rules had been violated and students should be ready for consequences.
The District Education Officer (DEO), Dr. Bhagirathsingh Parmar, intervened and issued a notice to the school, demanding a response within two days. The DEO stated that all schools must comply with traffic rules and ensure that students and parents are informed in advance about regulations for such events. Any negligence on the school’s part in future investigations could lead to penalties or even withdrawal of recognition.
The school’s administration clarified that parents had been informed through email that buses would be provided for the farewell event and had specifically requested that students not arrive in private cars, even if they had driving licenses. They strongly condemned the violation of traffic rules and the lack of school discipline.
In the ongoing investigation, the Pal Police have identified 26 cars involved in the incident, with 9 currently outside the city.
