Google Pixel 10 Series Pricing Strategy Revealed
The upcoming Google Pixel 10 series and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold have recently surfaced in leaked renders, revealing minimal design changes. Camera specifications for the Pixel 10 lineup also emerged earlier. Now, a new report offers insights into Google’s pricing strategy for the next-gen Pixel smartphones, highlighting a mix of price stability, increases, and even reductions.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold May Get a Price Cut
According to Android Headlines, citing sources familiar with the matter, Google will continue releasing four Pixel phones every August through at least 2028. This includes the Pixel A-series, a base flagship model, two Pro variants, and a foldable phone.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, expected to debut this year, is rumored to be priced at around $1,600 — a $200 reduction from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s $1,799 launch price. Furthermore, the Pixel 12 Pro Fold, expected in 2027, could be priced even lower at $1,500.
Pixel 10 and 10 Pro to Maintain Pricing
The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will reportedly retain the same pricing as the Pixel 9 series:
-
Pixel 10: $799
-
Pixel 10 Pro: $999
However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is expected to see a $100 price hike, bringing it to $1,199, up from the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s $1,099. This move would create more differentiation between the XL and the base/pro models.
Pixel A-Series to Remain Affordable
The Pixel 10a is expected to stick with the $499 price point, with this pricing strategy likely to remain in place through at least the Pixel 12a in 2027.
Launch Timeline and Long-Term Strategy
With the Pixel 9 series launching in August 2024, the Pixel 10 series is expected to launch in August 2025. Google’s strategy of releasing four phones each year—including a foldable model—is expected to continue through 2028.
