New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour-S Launched: India’s First Sedan with a 5-Star Safety Rating, Starting at ₹6.79 Lakh; 33.73 km/kg Mileage in CNG

Maruti Suzuki has launched the commercial version of its best-selling sedan, the Dzire Tour-S, in India. Based on the base variant (LXi) of the Dzire, the Tour-S is available with both petrol and CNG powertrain options.

The company claims that the CNG version delivers a mileage of 33.73 km/kg. The updated sedan is offered in a single variant, with an ex-showroom starting price of ₹6.79 lakh for the petrol model, while the CNG version is priced at ₹7.74 lakh.

India’s First Sedan with a 5-Star Safety Rating

In November last year, Maruti Suzuki launched the fourth-generation Dzire, which comes with a 5-star safety rating. The car underwent a crash test conducted by Global NCAP, earning the highest safety rating.

This makes the Dzire Maruti Suzuki’s first car to receive a 5-star safety rating from any crash test agency, and also India’s first sedan to achieve this milestone.
