New Price Updates for Popular Models
India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has announced a price increase for several of its popular models. The premium hatchback Baleno will now cost up to ₹9,000 more, while the compact Celerio has seen a substantial hike of ₹32,500.
Price Hike Details for Baleno
Maruti Suzuki confirmed that the starting price for the Baleno will now be ₹6.7 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top variant costing up to ₹9.92 lakh in cities like Mumbai and Delhi. The increase varies by variant, with AGS versions seeing a ₹9,000 hike, while other trims have gone up by ₹4,000.
Other Models Witness Price Hikes
Several other models have also become more expensive, including Brezza, Wagon R, Alto K10, Grand Vitara, and S-Presso. The price adjustments, effective from February 1, are as follows:

Maruti Suzuki holds a 40% share of the Indian automobile market. In November 2024, the company reported sales of 1.44 lakh cars, marking a 7.46% year-on-year growth. Sales of utility vehicles like Brezza, Forza, and Grand Vitara witnessed a 17% annual rise, demonstrating strong consumer demand despite price adjustments.
