Shotgun 650 Special Edition: Limited Units, Unique Design, and Impressive Performance
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Special Edition Launched: ₹4.25 Lakh Price, 22 kmpl Mileage with 648cc Air-Oil Cooled Engine
New Delhi, – Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has launched a special edition of its middle-weight category bike, the Shotgun 650, in collaboration with Icon Motorsports. The company will produce only 100 units of the limited edition bike, with 25 units available for sale in the Indian market.
Price and Features
The Shotgun 650 Special Edition comes with only a few cosmetic changes, including a white color with an “Always Something” theme. The ex-showroom price for this special edition is ₹4.25 lakh. The regular model of the bike starts at ₹3.59 lakh and goes up to ₹3.73 lakh.
Performance
The Shotgun 650 retains its original performance features, powered by a 648cc air-oil cooled parallel-twin engine that generates 46bhp and 52Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, and Royal Enfield claims that the bike offers a mileage of 22 km per liter.
Design
The Shotgun 650 Special Edition showcases new graphics, including a red seat, bar-end mirrors, and a blue-colored rear shock absorber. It also features golden alloy wheels which add an attractive touch to the bike’s design. Buyers of the special edition will receive the ‘Slabtown Intercept RE Jacket’ along with the bike.
The bike also features a unique design with smaller fenders, plastic casing around the headlamp, differently designed turn indicators, a new black-finish exhaust muffler, and flat handlebars, distinguishing it from other models in the lineup. The long seat and mid-set foot pegs offer an upright riding position.
Hardware
For superior comfort, the bike includes a 120mm travel inverted fork at the front and a 90mm travel twin shock absorber at the rear. The braking system features a 320mm twin-piston floating disc at the front and a 300mm twin-piston disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Shotgun 650 comes with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, and 100-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tires. The seat height is 795mm, the ground clearance is 140mm, and the bike weighs 240kg.
Other Features
The bike also features a semi-digital instrument cluster, tripper navigation pod, all-LED lighting setup, USB charging port, removable pillion seat, and matte black twin P-shooter exhausts.
Motoverse Edition
After unveiling the new generation Himalayan at the annual biking event Motoverse-2023, Royal Enfield also introduced the Shotgun Twin 650. The Motoverse edition of the Shotgun 650 was launched at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.25 lakh, with only 25 units produced. All of these units have already been sold out.
