Nani Ka Pitara – A Taste of Love, Tradition, and Strength

Nani Ka Pitara isn’t just a brand, it’s a feeling. A memory. A spoonful of your childhood that takes you back to your nani’s kitchen, where the smell of hing and mustard oil lingered in the air, and everything was made with patience, care, and love.

Born out of a desire to bring those forgotten flavors back to life, Nani Ka Pitara is a celebration of Indian women, their wisdom, and their incredible culinary heritage. Every product we make is inspired by recipes that have been passed down through generations—faithfully recreated without preservatives or shortcuts, just like nani would have wanted.

Where It All Began

The journey started in 2020, a time when the world had slowed down, and we all found ourselves holding onto memories a little tighter. That’s when Mehak Bansal, an architect and passionate foodie, found herself back in her childhood kitchen—nostalgic for her nani’s handmade pickles and spice blends. Together with her mother, she launched Nani Ka Pitara, beginning with just 5 kilos of homemade achar made the old-fashioned way.

What started as a simple tribute to her grandmother’s kitchen quickly grew into something bigger. Today, we make over 500 kilos of homemade goodness, and the love for our products has only grown, because the taste of something real, something heartfelt, is impossible to resist.

Keeping Traditions (and Taste Buds) Alive

At Nani Ka Pitara, we’re on a mission to keep traditional recipes alive—not just in flavor, but in spirit. From the tangy kick of Aam Achar to the wholesome sweetness of Khajoor Ladoos, every item is made the way it’s always been done. No preservatives, no artificial additives, just clean, honest ingredients like cold-pressed oils, organic spices, and handpicked seasonal produce.

Even our packaging speaks to our values. We use glass and ceramic jars not just for their charm, but because they’re kinder to the planet. For us, sustainability isn’t a buzzword. It’s a natural extension of the love and care that goes into every batch.

Empowering Women, One Jar at a Time

But Nani Ka Pitara is about more than just great food. It’s also about giving back to the women behind the scenes who make it all happen. Many of them are first-time earners, widows, homemakers, and mothers who never imagined they could build something of their own.

Now, through their work with us, they’re not just earning an income—they’re gaining confidence, purpose, and the power to shape better futures for their children. Their hands preserve recipes that were at risk of being lost. Their skills, once confined to the kitchen, now inspire and empower.

And here’s something we’re truly proud of, we’re currently helping to revive over 200 forgotten recipes from different corners of India. That means every jar you open is more than just a treat for your palate, it’s a small act of cultural preservation.

Why Your Support Matters

When you choose Nani Ka Pitara, you’re not just buying a jar of pickles or a box of laddoos. You’re supporting a legacy. You’re helping a child go to school. You’re helping a woman in a small town find her voice and her strength. And most importantly, you’re keeping the flavours and traditions of India alive for the next generation.

So, the next time you dip into a jar from Nani Ka Pitara, know that what you’re tasting isn’t just food. It’s heritage. It’s empowerment. It’s love.
