Bangalore: According to the latest Smartphone Buyer Insights Survey conducted by 91mobiles, Nothing, a brand founded in 2018, has witnessed a remarkable 300% surge in ownership share over the past year. The survey, which included over 15,000 participants, analyzed consumer preferences, brand perception, and purchasing behavior, highlighting Nothing’s exceptional performance in the smartphone market.
Nothing’s Ownership Share Climbs to 3.2%
The survey report reveals that Nothing’s ownership share among respondents has jumped from 0.8% in 2024 to 3.2% in 2025. This significant growth is attributed to the launch of several budget-friendly smartphones, including the Nothing Phone (2a), Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1, all priced under Rs 30,000.
Nothing’s Prospective Market Growth: 2.6% Increase Expected
When asked about their preferred brand for the next smartphone upgrade, 5.8% of respondents selected Nothing – a 2.6% rise from last year. This positions Nothing as the fourth-most-preferred smartphone brand, trailing behind Samsung, Apple, and iQOO.
The surge in consumer interest can be credited to Nothing’s distinctive design aesthetics and its clean, user-friendly Nothing OS. Notably, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, launched in April 2025, emerged as the ninth-most-searched smartphone on 91mobiles in the Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 category.
Nothing Becomes Fastest-Growing Brand in Q1 2025
Counterpoint Research’s Q1 2025 report positions Nothing as the fastest-growing smartphone brand, with a staggering 156% year-on-year (YoY) growth. Additionally, the brand’s market share report for 2024 indicated a 577% YoY increase, primarily driven by the popularity of the Phone (2a) series and CMF Phone 1.
Upcoming Product Launches from Nothing and CMF
Nothing has already launched multiple devices in 2025, including the Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, CMF Phone 2 Pro, and a range of audio products like CMF Buds 2a and CMF Buds 2 Plus.
CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the flagship Nothing Phone (3), priced at approximately Rs 90,000, will debut in Q3 2025. The device is expected to feature premium materials and significant performance upgrades.
Additionally, more product launches are anticipated from CMF, Nothing’s sub-brand, as well as the release of the latest version of Nothing OS.
