Hindi literature witnessed a landmark moment as the official poster and video trailer of Main Bhookh Hoon: A Yuga-Kavya Samhita (From Bread to the Conscience of the Nation), the latest literary work by noted lyricist, author and educationist Dr. Avnish Rahi, were unveiled at a press conference held in Aligarh.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rahi spoke about the philosophical vision, creative journey and innovative three-dimensional concept behind the work. He described the book not merely as a collection of poems, but as a literary exploration of the relationship between humanity, society and the nation.
In the work, hunger is presented not simply as the absence of food, but as a metaphor for human dignity, justice, compassion, opportunity and the moral conscience of society.
Spread across nearly 300 pages, the epic consists of 71 interconnected poetic compositions, accompanied by 71 Epoch Inscriptions, 71 Hunger Dialogues and 71 Poet’s Notes, giving it a distinctive literary architecture.
One of the book’s most innovative features is its three-dimensional format. Every composition is linked to a dedicated QR Code, allowing readers not only to read the poem but also to listen to it in the author’s own voice and experience its visual presentation. The work therefore offers an integrated reading, listening and viewing experience.
Recognising this unique literary innovation, the Golden Book of World Records has acknowledged Main Bhookh Hoon as the World’s First Three-Dimensional Song Epic.
The official poster and video trailer were jointly unveiled by former MLA Shri Vivek Bansal, Mahakavi Amar Singh Rahi, educationist Vishal Kumar, mind trainer Rohitash Kumar ‘Vicky’, and Dr. Avnish Rahi.
Speaking on the occasion, former MLA Shri Vivek Bansal said that Dr. Avnish Rahi is carrying forward Aligarh’s distinguished literary legacy in the tradition of legendary poet Gopaldas ‘Neeraj’. He expressed confidence that Dr. Rahi’s creative journey would earn national recognition in both literature and cinema. Describing Main Bhookh Hoon as a timely and socially relevant work, he said it highlights the human dimensions of hunger while encouraging reflection on contemporary social realities.
In his address, Dr. Avnish Rahi remarked:
“When hunger becomes words, literature is born.
When hunger becomes compassion, humanity awakens.
When hunger becomes consciousness, nations transform.
Main Bhookh Hoon is the poetry of that journey.”
He added that if the work inspires readers to engage more deeply with their conscience and become more sensitive towards society, he would consider his literary journey meaningful.
The organisers also announced that the book has been published by HubHawks NuVoice Press, while its global distribution is being handled by Penguin Random House.
Writers, educationists, journalists and distinguished guests present at the event described the work as a significant milestone in contemporary Hindi literature, appreciating its unique blend of literary creativity, technology and human sensitivity.
