Manoj Bajpayee to Star in Upcoming Horror-Comedy Film
Mumbai: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has officially announced his next project, a horror-comedy, through his social media platforms.
The film marks his reunion with acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee after 26 years.
Sharing the news on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Varma expressed his excitement: “After Satya, Kaun, and Shool, I’m thrilled to announce that Manoj Bajpayee and I are collaborating once again on a horror-comedy titled Bhoot – Police Station Mein Bhooth.”
Offering a glimpse into the plot, Varma revealed that the story revolves around a police station that turns haunted after a violent confrontation between the police and a group of gangsters.
The officers, terrified by the ghosts of the slain gangsters, find themselves fleeing from the very place meant to uphold law and order. With cutting-edge VFX and intense horror elements, the film promises a unique blend of scares and laughter.
Notably, following the success of films like Stree 2 and Munjya, the horror-comedy genre has seen a significant rise in popularity in Bollywood, making this project a timely addition to the trend.
