Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Talk About ‘Love and War’ and Working with Bhansali

Alia Celebrates Her Birthday, Interacts with Fans

On March 15, Alia Bhatt celebrated her 32nd birthday with a pre-birthday party for media and fans. The event featured photographers singing a birthday song for her, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony. During the interaction, Alia spoke about balancing work and motherhood.

Shooting at Night to Spend Time with Raha

Alia revealed that she has been filming Love and War at night, allowing her to spend quality time with her daughter Raha during the day. She shared, “We work at night and play the role of parents during the day. I also shot Gangubai Kathiawadi mostly at night, and now this film is being shot similarly. It’s a unique experience—it feels like stepping into another world, where it’s just us and our work, with no distractions.”

Ranbir-Alia on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Work Ethic

Discussing her experience with Bhansali, Alia said, “Every day, we discuss scenes with Sanjay sir. He makes you feel that giving 100 percent is just the starting point—there’s always more to achieve. He teaches you that every scene is important. There’s no such thing as a ‘chill day’ on his set, but we still have a lot of fun.”

Ranbir, who last worked with Bhansali in Saawariya (2007), added, “I’m collaborating with him after 17 years, and I can confidently say that no one works as hard as he does.”

Previous Collaborations with Bhansali

Both Ranbir and Alia have previously worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia starred in Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), while Ranbir made his Bollywood debut in Saawariya (2007). However, Love and War will mark Vicky Kaushal’s first project with the acclaimed filmmaker.
