Launch Timeline and Pricing Expectations for the Galaxy Z Flip FE

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE is generating significant buzz as an affordable foldable device that could introduce a new era for Samsung’s foldable lineup. Historically, Samsung’s Fan Edition (FE) models are designed to offer flagship-like features at a more affordable price point, and the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to follow this trend. If the rumors are true, this device will be the first FE model within Samsung’s foldable series, making it an exciting development for foldable tech enthusiasts.

Despite there being no official confirmation yet, a number of leaks and reports have suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could launch later this year, possibly alongside other devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. In fact, there have been a few key signs that point to the phone’s development. Recently, the device was spotted on Samsung’s Over-the-Air (OTA) servers, where it appeared under the model number SM-F761B (EUX). This number is quite similar to the model numbers of other Galaxy Z Flip devices, with the addition of the ‘B’ indicating that this particular variant is intended for the European market. Additionally, the firmware version listed for this model is F761BXXU0AYB1, though these details are still based on leaks and should be treated with caution.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to offer some impressive features, even if it is positioned as a more budget-friendly foldable. The display is anticipated to be a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming, as well as a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, which should ensure good visibility even under bright sunlight. There may also be a 3.4-inch cover screen, similar to that found on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, allowing users to view notifications and control certain functions without opening the phone.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is rumored to be powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, which was previously seen in the Galaxy S24 series. This will likely give the device strong performance, making it suitable for day-to-day use as well as more demanding tasks like multitasking and gaming. As for RAM and storage, it’s expected that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will come in at least two configurations, with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This should provide users with ample space for apps, photos, videos, and other data.

When it comes to pricing, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is likely to be positioned at a more affordable price point compared to the flagship Galaxy Z Flip series. This would allow Samsung to capture a larger audience, particularly those who are interested in the foldable form factor but may not be willing to spend the premium price required for the top-tier models. Pricing could vary based on region, but Samsung’s FE models are typically priced more competitively compared to the flagship models.

The launch of the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to occur around July or August 2025, in line with Samsung’s typical release schedule for its foldables. Given the popularity of Samsung’s foldable devices in markets like India, it’s highly likely that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will be available there as well, allowing more users in the region to experience the foldable smartphone experience at a reduced cost.
