A recent report by Google has revealed a shocking statistic: 60% of people in India are unaware of AI, despite the world moving towards the fifth industrial revolution, in which AI plays a major role. The report, created in collaboration with the Kantar agency, reveals that 31% of people in India have never used an AI tool. The study surveyed 8,000 people across 18 cities in India.
The findings indicate that while the global community is advancing with AI technology, India still lags behind in embracing this revolution. However, the report also shows that a significant portion of the population (72%) is interested in adopting AI to enhance productivity. Additionally, 73% of people facing challenges with communication or language barriers are eager to use AI to improve their communication skills.
AI tools, such as Google’s Gemini, have shown to increase confidence, creativity, and productivity. According to the report, 92% of Google Gemini users believe their confidence has been boosted by AI, while 93% have experienced an improvement in productivity, and 85% have seen a boost in creativity.
Furthermore, Gemini’s new features, such as the Veo 2 high-resolution video generation tool, are simplifying tasks and making them more creative. The live feature of Gemini is also enhancing visual communication, allowing users to communicate more effectively through videos.
