2025 Skoda Kodiaq Launched in India: Second-Generation SUV Offers 14.86 km/l Mileage and 9 Airbags, Starting at ₹46.89 Lakh

Skoda Auto India has officially launched the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market on April 17, 2025. This premium full-size SUV is offered in two variants – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K).

The new Kodiaq comes with a refreshed exterior and interior design, enhanced safety features including 9 airbags, and a host of modern technology. Skoda claims the SUV delivers a mileage of 14.86 km/l.

Globally, the Kodiaq is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. However, only the 7-seater version has been introduced in India. The starting price is set at ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

It will compete with SUVs like the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, and Nissan X-Trail.

  • 2025 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline – ₹46.89 lakh

  • 2025 Skoda Kodiaq Laurin & Klement (L&K) – ₹48.69 lakh

Exterior Highlights:

  • Redesigned with a larger hexagonal ‘butterfly’ grille

  • Sleek split Matrix LED headlamps with LED connecting strip

  • Sculpted bonnet and updated Skoda logo in matte dark chrome

  • C-shaped bumper elements and slim lower air dam

  • 18-inch alloy wheels (design varies by variant)

  • Silver accents on the C-pillar

  • Connected LED tail lamps

  • Length increased by 61 mm, now measuring 4.75 meters
    (Wheelbase: 2.71 meters | Width: 1.8 meters – unchanged)

While the global model offers four engine options (including mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants), the Indian version is available only with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
