Srimaan Ramachandra Raja is a young Indian political figure and social activist from Tamil Nadu, known for his involvement with the National Students Union of India (NSUI), a student wing of the Indian National Congress (INC) and his efforts in community welfare. Born on February 22, 1999, in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, and raised between there and Chennai, he comes from a politically engaged background—his grandfather was a freedom fighter and a close associate of K. Kamaraj, a prominent Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Srimaan pursued his education at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Rajapalayam, earned a bachelor’s degree from CHRIST University in Bangalore in 2019, and completed an MBA from Amity University in 2021. However he was actively working in NSUI during his college days and rose from a Assembly President of Rajapalayam in the beginning to the All India Secretary of National Students Unioin of India today, rising quickly within its ranks. Now being an All India Secretary a role that positioned him as a voice for student interests amid challenges like unemployment, NEET Paper leak, NTA Ban and the New Education Policy and other national students issues becoming a National Icon in Indian Politics

Beyond politics, Srimaan Ramachandra Raja is the founder of the Shree Welfare Foundation, a non-profit aimed at supporting underprivileged communities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided immunity boosters to over 1,500 people in Rajapalayam, distributed food to COVID patients and police officers, and supported farmers’ protests in Delhi. His foundation has also funded education for underprivileged children (over ₹25 lakh), provided medical assistance (₹6 lakh), and empowered widows by teaching them skills like stitching to foster independence.

His blend of political activism, social work, and regional pride has made him a notable emerging figure in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
