Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s film Chhawaa is dominating the box office. The historical drama, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has captivated audiences and emerged as the highest-grossing film of the year so far.

Since its release, Chhawaa has been performing exceptionally well, maintaining strong collections into its second week. The film has already amassed ₹300 crore worldwide, reinforcing its massive appeal.

Competing with Blockbusters Like Pathaan and Jawan

The film’s global earnings prove that a compelling story can draw audiences to theaters, regardless of competition. The impressive box office numbers of Chhawaa place it among blockbusters like Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2. While it still trails behind their lifetime collections, it has the potential to surpass them in the coming days.

₹22 Crore Collection on Day 7

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhawaa has maintained steady earnings since its release. However, on Thursday (Day 7), the film’s earnings dipped slightly compared to the previous three days.

Here’s a breakdown of its recent daily collections:

  • Monday: ₹24 crore
  • Tuesday: ₹24.50 crore
  • Wednesday: ₹32 crore
  • Thursday: ₹22 crore

With this, the film’s total domestic earnings now stand at ₹219.75 crore.

Worldwide Box Office Nears ₹300 Crore

The film’s worldwide collection has reached ₹295 crore, bringing it very close to the ₹300 crore milestone. The upcoming weekend is expected to be highly profitable, with projections suggesting it might outperform its first weekend’s earnings due to strong word-of-mouth and audience enthusiasm.
