NCW Chairperson Calls Online Show Remarks ‘Unacceptable’
Legal Action Intensifies in India’s Got Latent Controversy
The legal proceedings surrounding the controversy related to the India’s Got Latent show have intensified. Several YouTubers appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) in Delhi on March 7.
During a press conference, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar stated that YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia and others had submitted written apologies to the commission. Among those present were YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, and India’s Got Latent producers Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Poojari.
Rahatkar condemned the remarks made on the online show, calling them “simply unacceptable.” The individuals involved remain under investigation for their controversial statements.
Additionally, YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia appeared at the Crime Branch office of the Guwahati Police Commissionerate on Friday as part of the ongoing inquiry.
