Aaliya Tully Khan’s journey into the world of media and entertainment is not just about building a production house — it is a story of resilience, legacy, creativity, and vision.

Born in Mumbai to Rani Tully Khan and Tahir Tully Khan, Aaliya comes from a culturally rich and artistically rooted family background. Her maternal grandmother belonged to the royal family lineage of Rampur, while her maternal grandfather was connected to the prestigious Dagar Brothers lineage, known for its deep contribution to Indian classical music. On her father’s side, her grandfather was a journalist and her grandmother served as a supervisor at Barnes School International.

Creativity and discipline surrounded Aaliya from childhood. Her mother worked as a fashion designer, while her father worked in the oil rig industry. She also shares a creative bond with her brother, who is a writer and is set to release his upcoming book soon.

Aaliya pursued her education up to the 12th standard and later completed an acting course from the Indian Television Academy (ITA). However, for her, films and television were never just career options — they were always part of her identity.

“Ever since I was a child, I imagined cameras, sets, and paparazzi around me. Somewhere deep inside, I always knew films and television were meant for me,” she says.

Between 2014 and 2026, Aaliya worked extensively across different sectors of the entertainment industry. Her experience includes working with renowned production houses and television networks such as Zee, Essel Vision, Endemol, and Colosseum. Over the years, she worked as an assistant director, production crew member, artist manager, and crowd manager, gaining practical knowledge of the industry from the ground level.

Apart from working behind the scenes, Aaliya also explored her passion for acting. She appeared in web series such as Flirteens and Hostel Life for ClickTVIndia, and also portrayed the character Zenia in Crime World for Shemaroo. Her experience as both a performer and production professional gave her a deeper understanding of storytelling, audience connection, and the realities of the entertainment industry.

But her journey was not without hardships.

Losing both her parents became one of the most emotionally difficult phases of her life. According to Aaliya, grief deeply impacts a creative person mentally, emotionally, and physically. Yet, she believes that surviving such struggles builds an unbreakable strength.

“Once you come out of it, nobody can stop you,” she says.

Driven by experience and ambition, Aaliya eventually founded her own production company. Initially launched under the name Conjoined Indigos, the company later evolved into Yellow Dot Production — a name she describes as people-oriented, warm, and emotionally connected.

Based in Vasai, Yellow Dot Production aims to create content that directly connects with audiences in a realistic and meaningful way. The company focuses on making media more accessible while maintaining quality and creativity.

The production house has already worked on short films including The Wish, in collaboration with Tapping Film Productions, and Dyslexia, a social awareness film. Apart from films, the company is also involved in music videos, fashion shoots, social media content, corporate events, wedding films, and is currently working toward building its own creative academy.

What makes Yellow Dot Production stand apart, according to Aaliya, is its flexible and audience-oriented approach.

“We work according to the client’s needs — from luxury productions to affordable packages — while still maintaining creativity and emotional connection with the audience,” she explains.

The team behind Yellow Dot Production includes founder Aaliya Tully Khan, website developer Agrajeet Verma, advisor Christina, and creative associate Snehal Rajput.

As a woman entrepreneur in the media industry, Aaliya acknowledges the challenges but believes success is achievable with consistency, courage, and vision.

“Being a woman entrepreneur in media can be tough, but it is not impossible,” she says.

She strongly believes Vasai is emerging as a major production hub due to the growing number of shoots taking place in the region. For her, opening the company there was both a strategic and emotional decision.

“I can see the future here, and hopefully one day Yellow Dot Production will become one of the biggest production houses across the globe.”

With passion, experience, and determination driving her forward, Aaliya Tully Khan represents a new generation of independent creators building meaningful cinema and media beyond the traditional boundaries of Mumbai’s entertainment industry.
