AAP Protests Against Injustice to Patidar Girl, Detained by Police in Surat
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized a protest against the atrocities committed on an innocent Patidar girl in Amreli. The protest began with a rally from Mini Hira Bazaar in Varachha to the Sardar Patel statue, demanding the public humiliation of Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, similar to the one faced by the Patidar girl in Amreli.
AAP leaders, while demanding justice for the Patidar girl, also called for Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, who has alleged connections with BJP leaders and corruption, to face the same public humiliation. They demanded that his procession be held in the same manner as the girl’s procession in Amreli.
During the protest, AAP leaders and workers, including former opposition leader Dharmesh Bhanderi, corporators Maheshbhai Anghan, Vipulbhai Suhagiya, Kundanben Kothiya, Sejalben Malvia, and others, were detained by the police. During the police confrontation, municipal councilor Kundanben Kothiya was injured and was taken to the hospital via ambulance.
This incident in Amreli, where a Patidar girl was publicly humiliated due to internal BJP conflicts, has sparked anger across Gujarat, leading to widespread protests demanding justice for the victim and accountability for those responsible.
