Punjab Kings set a target of 246 runs, but Hyderabad chased it down in 18.3 overs with eight wickets remaining. Abhishek’s fiery performance propelled him into the top 15 run-scorers of the season, marking his entry into the race for the Orange Cap.
Kohli and Rahul Left Behind
Before this match, Abhishek had not been a standout performer in the season. However, his remarkable 141-run innings has propelled him to 12th place in the race for the most runs in IPL 2025. He has now surpassed senior players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
