Traffic Obstruction Led to Public Complaints
Authorities have taken swift action after public complaints about a wall constructed by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) near Mora village. The company had encroached upon highway space, creating traffic obstructions. Following the complaints, the Choryasi Mamlatdar led a demolition operation, bringing down a 100-meter wall.
Demolition Process and Legal Steps
The operation was conducted today by the Mamlatdar and his team. In addition to demolishing the wall, legal proceedings regarding the illegal construction have also been initiated by the administration.
Encroachments on ₹30 Crore Government Land Removed
In Hazira, under the guidance of Collector Dr. Saurabh Parghi, 52,000 square meters of government land were cleared of encroachments, worth over ₹30 crore. The action involved more than 25 officials. Illegal establishments, including makeshift stalls and unauthorized hotels, were demolished as part of the operation.
The administration has affirmed its commitment to preventing such encroachments and maintaining the region’s infrastructure integrity.
