Cold Wave Grips Vadodara as Minimum Temperature Drops to 13.4°C After Foggy Weather

Vadodara: A noticeable chill has gripped Vadodara as the minimum temperature suddenly dropped to 13.4°C today, marking a significant dip after several days of foggy weather. The temperature had remained relatively high in the range of 18-19°C over the past few days but saw an abrupt decline early this morning.

The cold wave is attributed to the influence of heavy snowfall and bone-chilling cold from regions like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. The wind speed remained calm at 3 km/h, but the sudden temperature drop has made the cold more intense in the city.

Weather experts predict that the minimum temperature may continue to decrease in the coming days, signaling the persistence of the cold wave. In the past week, the minimum temperature fluctuated but stayed above 15°C, with the wind speeds ranging from 3-5 km/h. Today’s drop to 13.4°C is the lowest temperature recorded in the city recently, and as the fog lifts, the cold conditions are expected to worsen further in the coming days.

Residents are advised to take precautions as the chill intensifies over the next few days.
