Ration Card E-KYC Deadline Extended for the Fourth and Final Time – No Further Extensions

The central government has made it mandatory to complete the e-KYC process for ration cards. However, around 36% of beneficiaries have yet to complete it. Considering this, the government has extended the deadline once again to April 30, providing relief to millions of beneficiaries. Authorities have also issued an ultimatum to complete the pending e-KYC process as soon as possible.

Final Opportunity: No More Extensions

Officials from the ration department have stated that this is the fourth and final extension. After this, no further extensions will be granted. If a beneficiary fails to link their ration card with e-KYC, their ration card will be canceled, and they will no longer be eligible to receive government-subsidized grains.

This strict measure aims to ensure transparency in the ration distribution system and prevent duplication. Additionally, state and district administrations have been instructed to strengthen monitoring and increase awareness campaigns.

Over 1.2 Million People Yet to Complete E-KYC in Bhavnagar

In Kishanganj district, a total of 1,576,222 ration cardholders are registered. Of these, 1,066,102 people have completed the e-KYC process, covering 67.64% of the target. However, 510,120 beneficiaries have yet to complete their e-KYC, which remains a concern.

Similarly, in Bhavnagar district, 1.64 million ration cardholders have completed e-KYC, while over 1.24 million people still need to complete the process.

E-KYC Can Be Done from Home

To complete e-KYC, biometric verification is required. This process helps the government identify eligible beneficiaries for free ration.

If you haven’t completed your e-KYC, you can do so from home or visit your nearest ration center.

For the online process, visit your state government’s official website, select the E-KYC option, and complete biometric verification using your Aadhaar number.
