Champions Trophy 2025 – IND vs PAK: Pakistan Wins Toss and Opts to Bat; India’s Toss-Losing Streak in ODIs Continues

The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the Champions Trophy 2025 group stage is underway at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan’s captain, Mohammad Rizwan, won the toss and chose to bat first. The team has made one change in their playing XI, bringing in Imam-ul-Haq to replace the injured Fakhar Zaman. Meanwhile, India has retained its previous lineup. With this, Team India has now lost 12 consecutive tosses in One Day Internationals (ODIs).

This is the second match for both teams in the tournament. India started strong with a win against Bangladesh, while Pakistan suffered a defeat against New Zealand. A loss today could result in Pakistan’s elimination from the knockout stage.

In the 2017 Champions Trophy, India and Pakistan faced each other twice. India won in the group stage, but Pakistan turned the tables in the final, securing the title with a massive 180-run victory.

Although the match is being played in Dubai, excitement is high among Pakistani fans. Interestingly, Team India also has a loyal fanbase in Pakistan, with many hoping for an Indian victory.

Probable Playing XI
India (IND): Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Harshit Rana.
