Land Rover Defender Octa Launched in India at ₹2.59 Crore: Exceptional Performance on Rough Terrain and in 1-Meter Deep Water, 0-100 km/h in Just 4 Seconds

Land Rover has launched the Defender Octa, the flagship model of its popular SUV lineup, in India. The company claims this is the most powerful Defender ever, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.

The Defender Octa is equipped with a 6D Dynamic Suspension System, which minimizes pitch and body roll, enhancing the SUV’s off-road capabilities. It also improves stability at high speeds.

The ex-showroom price starts at ₹2.59 crore. Additionally, Land Rover has introduced a special Octa Edition One model, which will be available for only one year, priced at ₹2.79 crore. The British automaker had unveiled the vehicle last year.

The Defender Octa features a 5-door body style, with several design modifications that distinguish it from the standard Defender. As a high-performance variant, the Octa competes with the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX.

Exterior: Optional 22-Inch Wheels

The overall design of the Land Rover Defender Octa closely resembles the Defender 110, but with several enhancements. The height has been increased by 28mm and the width by 68mm. Both bumpers have been redesigned, improving the approach and departure angles, thereby enhancing its off-road capability.

This SUV can navigate through 1 meter of deep water, surpassing the capabilities of other Defender models. The front grille is larger than the standard version, improving airflow to the engine. It features 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, with 22-inch wheels available as an option. At the rear, it has a spare alloy wheel mounted on the tailgate and a towing hook. The quad exhaust system alters the sound when the Octa mode is activated.

The Defender Octa is available in Charente Grey and Petra Copper, while the Octa Edition One comes in Ferro Green and Carpathian Grey. All models feature a black contrast roof for a distinctive look.
