Maharashtra Scandal: Raksha Khadse’s Complaint Triggers Police Action and Widespread Outrage
Union Minister Raksha Khadse Files Harassment Complaint in Maharashtra
Union Minister Raksha Khadse has filed an FIR alleging that her daughter and her friends were harassed by a group of men at an event in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district. According to her complaint, the incident occurred on Friday night during the Sant Muktai Yatra held in Kothali village in Muktainagar.
“I was in Gujarat at the time, and my daughter called to seek permission to attend the event,” Khadse said. “I advised her to take a guard along with two or three staff members. However, she and her friends were followed and pushed; their photos and videos were taken. When my staff objected, the boys resorted to unruly behavior, and soon a mob of 30 to 40 people had gathered.”
Khadse added that her daughter had previously encountered misbehavior from the same group at another public event on February 24. “It is unfortunate. If such things can happen to the daughter of an MP or Union Minister, imagine what common people must endure,” she lamented.
In response to the complaint, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the individuals responsible are members of a political party. He confirmed that local police have arrested some of the accused and registered a case against them, promising that strict action will be taken.
However, former minister and NCP (SP) leader Eknath Khadse, who is also Raksha Khadse’s father-in-law, criticized the police response. He claimed that previous complaints against these youths had been ignored, describing them as “hardened criminals.” He further alleged that his family was made to wait for two hours at the police station before their complaint was accepted. “We spoke with the DSP and IG, and when we first went to the station, we were forced to wait for two hours. The police even suggested we rethink the issue, implying that it was a matter related to girls. The youths have also assaulted the police, and it is evident that these individuals enjoy political protection,” he stated.
This complaint has drawn significant attention, highlighting concerns over public safety and the handling of harassment cases in the region.
