Updated Vespa Scooters: New Design, Engine Options, and Keyless Ignition
Piaggio Vehicles has updated its popular scooter, the Vespa, with new features, design updates, and performance upgrades. The Italian auto group Piaggio’s Indian subsidiary has launched the 2025 models of Vespa scooters, along with two special editions — ORO and ART.
The new 2025 Vespa models have a design similar to their predecessors, with a few cosmetic changes. The scooter now comes with a 5-inch TFT digital display, available in the Tech and S-Tech variants. This digital instrument cluster offers features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and keyless ignition. Additionally, all models will now feature LED lighting.
Piaggio is offering two engine options for the Vespa: 125cc and 150cc. The updated 125cc scooter is available in four variants, with prices starting at ₹1.32 lakh for the standard variant, going up to ₹1.96 lakh for the top-spec S-Tech variant. The prices for the 150cc engine variants have not been announced yet. The new scooters will be available at official dealerships starting from February 25.
2025 Vespa Performance
The updated Vespa scooter features a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 9.38hp of power at 7,100rpm and a peak torque of 10.1Nm at 5,600rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox. A 150cc single-cylinder engine option is also available, generating 11.4hp of power at 7,500rpm and 11.66Nm of torque at 6,100rpm, also paired with a CVT gearbox.
