Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka recently praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him the real boss of the world.
In his speech, Rabuka highlighted PM Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ as a model for development that benefits everyone. He stated, “I believe that Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas is a great governance model that PM Modi is following.”
The Fijian Prime Minister also referred to PM Modi as “Boss Sahib,” expressing his admiration and extending friendship. Rabuka emphasized the unity in the journey of Hindus, which he believes will eventually lead to global unity under the ideals of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’
During his visit to Fiji, Rabuka met with Indian Minority Federation Convener Satnam Singh Sandhu and IMF Founder Professor Himani Sood. In their discussions, Rabuka acknowledged PM Modi as one of the top global leaders.
Fiji’s unwavering support for India
Rabuka recalled meeting PM Modi in 2023 and expressed his gratitude for India’s enduring partnership. He reassured that Fiji remains steadfast in its friendship and cooperation with India.
Prime Minister Modi had traveled to participate in the third Forum of India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit, during which he also visited Papua New Guinea. Rabuka met with him in Port Moresby in May 2023.
In recognition of PM Modi’s contributions, Rabuka, on behalf of Fijian President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, conferred upon him the highest civilian honour of the Republic of Fiji – the Companion of the Order of Fiji (CF). Rabuka emphasized Fiji’s commitment to peace and development, saying that unity in progress is an ideal shared by world leaders.
