Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, marking her government’s first 100 days in office, underlined a clear shift in administrative style. Instead of flashy announcements, her team focused on policy formulation, delivery, and clean governance.
“We’ve avoided false promises. Our goal is to bring meaningful change through focused, data-driven policies,” Gupta said at a press briefing on Monday.
Under her leadership, the Delhi government has introduced reforms in education, public health, and civic management. Officials said emphasis has been laid on transparency, grievance redressal, and digital governance.
To complement these efforts, Gupta has launched real-time monitoring systems across departments. This ensures accountability and timely delivery of public services.
“People no longer want slogans. They want results. We’re here to govern, not to perform,” she added, taking subtle digs at previous governments.
According to senior bureaucrats, the first 100 days saw:
-
Clearance of 12 key urban infrastructure projects
-
Introduction of new schemes for women’s safety
-
E-governance rollout in five departments
-
Weekly citizen interaction sessions by MLAs
From transport to water supply, most departments now follow performance dashboards to stay on track.
Political observers note that Gupta is shaping her brand around integrity, stability, and quiet efficiency. While the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP continue their back-and-forth, Gupta appears to be playing the long game.
