Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that Operation Sindoor is not just another military action, but a bold and direct response to terrorism. Addressing the media, he praised the armed forces for their swift and decisive role in eliminating threats in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
According to Singh, the operation sends a clear message to both domestic and foreign elements that India will no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism. “Operation Sindoor is not a routine deployment,” he said. “It is our nation’s frontal assault on terror in every form.”
The minister emphasized that the mission was conducted with precision and coordination, targeting militant hideouts and logistics networks. Security forces, with support from intelligence agencies, acted swiftly to neutralize several high-value targets.
To complement the success on the ground, Singh also pointed out the strategic value of the operation in the current geopolitical climate. “This isn’t just about security. It’s about protecting our sovereignty and our citizens,” he added.
The operation, launched late last week, comes amid renewed militant activity near the LoC (Line of Control). Army sources said multiple infiltration attempts were foiled, and a cache of weapons was recovered.
Citizens across the country have welcomed the move. On social media, hashtags related to #OperationSindoor have been trending, reflecting the public’s strong support.
Security analysts believe this marks a shift in India’s counterterrorism approach. While previous responses were defensive, Operation Sindoor demonstrates offensive preparedness and policy resolve.
