G7 Countries on Pahalgam Terror Attack: Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India initiated Operation Sindoor, escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. In their statement, the G7 nations said, “We urge India and Pakistan to exercise restraint.” They further warned that any further military actions would pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region. The statement emphasized the need for both countries to immediately reduce tensions and engage in direct dialogue for peace.
Singapore Expresses Concern Over India-Pakistan Tensions
Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) also issued a statement on Friday expressing concern over the ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan. The statement read, “We are deeply concerned about the ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan.” It called for both sides to reduce tensions and resolve the situation through dialogue. The statement also emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of civilians in both countries.
Singapore Issues Travel Advisory for Its Citizens
Additionally, Singapore advised its citizens not to travel to Jammu & Kashmir or Pakistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Singaporeans to remain vigilant in the border areas between India and Pakistan, specifically advising them to take all necessary security precautions. The advisory also encouraged citizens to avoid crowded places, keep an eye on local news, and follow the instructions of local authorities.
