Tanker Falls from Flyover in Maharashtra’s Palghar: Kerosene Spills on Road, Causing Fire; Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway Blocked for 2 Hours

A kerosene-filled tanker fell from a flyover onto the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, resulting in a massive fire. The accident occurred around 5 PM on Sunday near Masaan Naka in Manor, Palghar.

Following the accident, panic spread as people ran in different directions to save their lives. The entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras. Upon receiving the information, police and fire brigade teams immediately rushed to the scene.

Tanker Plunged 20 Feet from the Flyover

According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of the tanker, causing it to crash into the flyover’s railing and plunge 20 feet onto the service road below. As soon as it hit the ground, the tanker caught fire.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway Shut Down for 2 Hours

Locals immediately alerted the police, and officials quickly arrived at the scene. Due to the accident, the highway remained closed for two hours before being reopened.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine how the driver lost control and what triggered the fire. A detailed report will be released soon.
